We hope everyone is having a safe and enjoyable summer!!
The school office will reopen on August 27th. During the week of August 27th to August 31st, the office will be open between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm.
If you need assistance prior to August 27th, please leave a message on the school phone (250.832.7018) or email the principal, Doug Cumming, at firstname.lastname@example.org .
New Student Registration will be on August 28th. Please be sure to bring your child’s birth certificate and BC Services Card (provincial care card, and proof of your home address (eg. a utility bill, driver’s license) to the school.
Classes will be back in session on September 4th. On September 4th, the first bell will ring at 8:05. At that time, the Gr. 1-8 students will line-up at the front of the school, where they will be greeted by the staff. All new students will meet Mr. Cumming at the school office. The first couple of days will be a combination of working in last year’s classes and multi-age groups. Once we determine if any students have moved away and who is new to the school, the SD No. 83 Director of Instruction will give the school permission to place the students in their new classrooms. This will most likely take place on Thursday or Friday.
On Tuesday, September 4th, the students will be dismissed at 11:00. The busses will take the students home at that time. Wednesday will be a full day of school, with dismissal at 2:00 pm.
All Kindergarten students will participate in a gradual entry, starting September 5th. Information about the gradual entry will be mailed to Kindergarten families in August.
