Dig out your Holiday cards and address books, because on Friday, December 6, we will hold our annual Family Letter Writing event at Ranchero Elementary School! Parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and friends are all invited to come to school to write with their child or children. The plan will be for everyone to use that time to write friendly letters, Holiday cards and address envelopes! A sheet of fancy Christmas paper will be provided for each child, along with photocopied decorated sheets and envelopes. We will have stamps on-site, so you can purchase stamps and have them ready to be delivered.
Tables and chairs will be set up throughout the building to allow for family groupings to work wherever they like. Adults will go to each class and collect their children and settle themselves for just over an hour of writing time. We will start right at 12:30 and end at 1:45. Any child without an adult may remain in their classroom and work on their letters or cards with the teacher, another student or another staff member.
Coffee, tea, warm cider and cookies will be served. In the spirit of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, please bring along your own mug for coffee or tea! Student greeters will meet you at the door and assist you with finding your child’s classroom, should you need that help.
