Welcome Back to School

We hope you have been having a happy summer and spent lots of time doing the things you love with the people you love. We are looking forward to seeing you soon at Ranchero and for those of you new to Ranchero, we welcome you and can hardly wait to meet you.

Our amazing Ranchero staff have already started making plans and are getting ready for the new school year. Principal Ms. Langston and Secretary Ms. Jong Ae Han will be in the office Aug. 26-30 from 8:30-2:30. You’re welcome to give us a call 250 832 7018 if you have questions or want to pop in and see us.

New student registration day is Tuesday, Aug. 27 from 9:00-2:00pm but if you need an alterative time, please call or email ran@sd83.bc.ca

A school tour for new students and families is being held Thursday, Aug. 29 at 9:30am.

The first day of school for students in grades 1-8 is an early dismissal day on Wednesday, Sept. 4. Students are dismissed at 11:04 am and busses run at that time. Student will go to their last year’s teacher’s classroom for the day and new students will report to the office and will then be assigned to a similar grade classroom for the day.

We hope to have students placed in their 2024-25 classrooms by Thursday, Sept. 5 but depending upon enrolment changes over the summer it may take longer.

The first day of school for kindergarten students is Thursday, Sept. 5. Students will follow a gradual entry schedule please see below.

The first day for staff is Tuesday, Sept. 3, we will be holding meetings and have time for in-service. Students do not attend.
